are you located in the ann arbor/ypsilanti area? are you involved in social justice work for intersectional, collective liberation? does your work or your organization need to print fliers, pamphlets, zines, posters, or other materials once or on a regular basis? we may be able to support you in your efforts!
if your social justice work is in line with our mission statement and political philosophy, back pocket press can support your work or organization by helping with printing both financially and/or logistically. we have a full size, office style copy machine complete with duplex printing, capable of printing on a variety of materials and sizes of paper.
we can always help you by giving you access to our tools and resources: the copy machine*, a long arm zine stapler, scanner, and paper cutter**. additionally, we can offer our pseudo-expert knowledge and advice when it comes to layout, printing, or technical difficulties. if our schedules permit, we are happy to help you by personally assisting with or independently printing out your materials.
our capacity to support you financially by supplying paper, staples, ink, or other materials depends on our current operations budget, which always changes depending on our recent sales and costs.
please contact us to discuss your printing needs and how we can support your work or organization.
* the only catch: our copy machine is an old, second-hand, kind of picky gal. she often jams and is currently experiencing a phase where there is a half-centimeter strip of every page she will not print. it can be frustrating to work with her, and you may have to accept a handful of minor aesthetic maladies in the final product, but the greatly reduced cost of printing we get by utilizing this machine makes it worth it (at least to us) in the end.
**we use the paper cutter in the student center of the local university. we can tell you where it is, and you can use it too, but use is subject to the hours the building is open.
